THE ROLE
Clear Investment Group is seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee the firm’s accounting operations across multiple entities, properties, and projects.
This role will manage and mentor Senior Property Accountants and the Accounts Payable Coordinator while supporting financial reporting, month-end close processes, budgeting initiatives, and operational controls. The ideal candidate is highly organized, technically strong in real estate accounting, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment.
This position offers significant exposure to real estate investment operations and long-term growth potential into senior finance leadership roles.
WHAT YOU’LL OWN
Accounting Operations & Financial Reporting
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities and properties
- Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes
- Review and approve journal entries, general ledger activity, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare and review monthly financial statements and management reporting packages
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis initiatives
- Maintain and improve internal accounting controls and operational workflows
Team Leadership & Development
- Directly supervise Senior Property Accountants and the Accounts Payable Coordinator
- Assist team members with prioritization, deadline management, and professional development
- Ensure accounting deliverables are completed accurately and timely
- Promote a collaborative, accountable, and high-performing team environment
Property & Investment Accounting
- Support property-level financial analysis and reporting
- Assist with fund accounting and investor reporting activities
- Coordinate with external auditors, tax preparers, and third-party consultants
- Partner cross-functionally with Acquisitions, Asset Management, Leadership, and Operations teams
- Support ad hoc accounting, finance, and operational projects as needed
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA preferred
- 5+ years of accounting experience required
- At least 3 years of real estate accounting experience preferred
- Prior management or supervisory experience required
- Strong understanding of GAAP and property accounting principles
- Experience managing month-end close and financial reporting processes
- Experience with Yardi or similar property accounting software preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and project management skills
- Ability to manage priorities across multiple entities, properties, and projects
- Comfortable working within a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment
- Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
